Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Citizen Tristan Henry, skateboarding wiz, gifted photographer, and co-founder of Nations Skate Youth (empowering Indigenous youth to embrace their right to self-determination through the positive impact of skateboarding) will be in the Traditional Territories for the 25th Anniversary of Self-Governance. As part of the celebrations, Tristan is holding two free, everyone welcome, skateboarding workshops for the community. July 14th on Front Street from 11am to 5pm and July 16th at Minto Skatepark from 11am to 2pm.
We are super stoked to have Tristan back in community, and to be working in partnership with the City of Dawson Parks & Recreation. Tristan will have boards to share and tools for repairs.
