Drin hǫzǫ Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Chʼëdä̀t’in (Good day Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Elders),
We’re happy to invite you to an Elders Tea in Whitehose on Friday, November 29 from 1:00–4:00 p,m, at the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Whitehorse Office at 1191 Front Street.
.
Elders Tea is always a great opportunity to get together, visit, relax, converse, tell stories, and speak Hän. However, this Elders Tea will also be a great opportunity to hear about and collaborate in an open discussion about Yuhke Hwëdëk (Yooh-Kay Hweh-Deck), Northern Lights Story, our community’s energy initiative.
.
Over tea and snacks, there will be a short presentation about issues and opportunities related to the Yukon’s Integrated System (territorial electricity grid), which affects Citizens in both Whitehorse and Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Traditional Territory. Additionally, there will be opportunities to discuss topics such as renewable energy generation projects and types, energy conservation and efficiency, as well as our changing landscape.
.
Did we mention we will also be playing bingo for some unique prizes? Because all work and no play doesn’t sound like a tea party to us.
.
Please join us for snacks and refreshments, and bring your stories, curiosity, and lucky dabbers.
.
