Online Consultation: Yukon River Panel and Restoration & Enhancement Committee Meeting

The Yukon River Panel and Restoration & Enhancement Committee Meeting will provide the opportunity for citizens interested in knowing escapement projections for this upcoming salmon season, as well as listening to a discussion around fisheries management strategies. There will also be an opportunity for members of the public to provide a “testimony” to the Yukon River Panel.

A testimony is typically a short speech on one’s connection to salmon and how it may be impacted due to the current state of numbers and/ or management strategies. 

Sessions will be held from 10:00-5:00 p.m. on January 26 and 27, 2022..

Testimony can only be provided at the meeting via audio (telephone). Individuals who wish to provide testimony at the meeting sessions are required to register in advance with Mr. Victor Keong of the Pacific Salmon Commission. It is strongly recommended that individuals register to provide testimony as soon as possible in order to accommodate the preferred date / time on the meeting agenda. When registering to provide public testimony you will need to identify: 

• Your name.

• The telephone number you will use to provide testimony. This is essential, without this it will not be possible to identify you and admit you to the meeting.

• Your preferred date.

• Affiliation.

• The topic or subject your testimony will address.

Please plan to keep your testimony to 5 minutes, as there may be several speakers to accommodate.
