Dawson District Renewable Resources Council (DDRRC) Seeking New Member

TH Council is seeking to nominate a TH citizen to serve as a representative on the DDRRC. We are currently seeking one full-time member starting in February 2022. 

The DDRRC is a voice for local community members in managing renewable resources, such as fish, wildlife, habitat, and forestry maters, specific to TH Traditional Territory. DDRRC members must have resided in Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Traditional Territory for at least one year immediately prior to their appointment and should have long term familiarity with renewable resources in Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Traditional Territory.

 Acting as a member of this Council requires the following commitments:

  • Term: three years
  • Meetings: two hours, twice a month
  • Honoraria: members receive $50/hr for their participation
  • Mileage: reimbursement for members who reside outside of the municipality
  • Meals: dinner is provided with meetings.
