The General Assembly is comprised of all Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in citizens and provides direction to Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Council.
The General Assembly is required to meet twice annually for General Meetings to conduct normal governance business. Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Council may also call additional Special Meetings of the General Assembly as required. Notice of each General Meeting and Special Meeting shall be given not less than three weeks before the meeting. Only Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in citizens who are eighteen years of age or older may vote in meetings of the General Assembly, and a quorum of 30 voting age Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in citizens is required for any decisions made by the Assembly to be valid.
