Timber Permits
Eligibility
Only TH citizens are eligible to harvest timber on settlement land. Permits will not be granted to non-citizens.
Citizens may apply for a timber permit by visiting the Land and Resources branch.
Timber Harvest Fee Schedule
The Land and Resources branch issues two kinds of timber permits: personal and commercial. The branch collects timber harvest fees for commercial and round wood harvesting. Stumpage fees apply to all commercial permits and to the harvest of cabin logs for personal use. There is no charge on personal fuel wood permits for 11 cords or less.
All money collected under the Timber Harvest Fee Schedule is placed in the Land Restoration Fund created under section 69 of the Land and Resources Act.
